As the Basecamp is more compact and lighter in weight than traditional caravans, it is easy to tow by most family cars and easier to manoeuvre. It comes with an AL-KO AKS 3004 stabiliser for even smoother and safer towing.
The award-winning Swift Basecamp is arguably one of the most iconic compact caravans on the market today, and the pinnacle of lightweight caravanning. Basecamp 2 is Swift's lightest touring caravan, weighing in at 932kg and measuring 5.1m x 2.28m.
Despite being a small caravan, the Swift Basecamp is still packed with features that larger, modern caravans boast. It comes with a 120W solar panel, stylish 17” allow wheels, external points (Truma cold water shower point with showerhead, 230V mains and a BBQ point), Thetford oven & grill, three-burner gas hob, space-saving beds, Swift Command control panel, onboard shower, ample storage, and is built with the UK’s leading modern SMART Construction, using ‘PURe’ timberless framing that’s imperious to water.
