Six campsites in Lincolnshire to stay in your caravan or motorhome
Published:
Lincolnshire is a brilliant destination for a motorhome, campervan or caravan getaway, offering the perfect blend of countryside tranquillity, historic charm and classic seaside fun.
Home to a diverse range of campsites with touring pitches, they offer a base for exploring both the Lincoln Castle and Cathedral, family days on the sandy beaches of Mablethorpe Beach and Skegness, or taking in the rolling scenery of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Whatever activity you plan to indulge in, here are six campsites to consider.
Chapel Fields Holiday Park, Chapel St Leonards
Chapel Fields is a premium caravan and camping site situated on the outskirts of Chapel St Leonards, offering super serviced pitches amongst beautifully landscaped grounds and four fishing lakes.
You’re within walking distance of an abundance of golden sandy beaches around the Chapel St Leonards promenade, ideal for sunbathing, beachcombing and paddling. The promenade offers scenic walks, traditional beach huts, cafes, pubs and amusement arcades.
If you’re wanting the classic British seaside hustle and bustle, you’re only a 15 minute drive to Skegness and attractions like Fantasy Island and Butlin’s.
Golden Sands Holiday Park, Mablethorpe
If you’re travelling with family, Golden Sands is a fun and activity-filled stop right on the Lincolnshire coast. There’s plenty to do on-site, including two swimming pools, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
Touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes include electric hook-up, drinking water, wastewater disposal and awning space.
The beach is just moment away, and the nearby seal sanctuary is also within walking distance and offers a chance to see animals from across the globe, from meerkats to lynx.
Tip: Popular caravan parks and camping sites close to the coast (like Skegness or Mablethorpe) can fill up quickly in summer so it's advisable to book well in advance.
Rivulet Leisure Park, Croft
Rivulet is a family owned five-star leisure park set amongst 25 acres of scenic views at the picturesque rural village of Croft, a small quiet village sandwiched between the sandy beaches of Skegness and the glorious countryside landscapes offered by the Lincolnshire Wolds.
For day trips, you’re in easy reach of Sutton on Sea, Chapel St Leonards, Burgh Le Marsh and more.
The facilities are modern and well-kept, including electric hook-up, water and waste. Plus, there is access a heated toilet and shower lodge, laundry facilities and even a golf driving range.

"Lincolnshire is very motorhome-friendly, the region is largely flat, easily accessible with well-maintained A-roads and minimal congestion - ideal for first-time motorhome users. There's a diverse choice of parks and touring sites that are highly rated for motorhome and campervan access and amenities."

Wold View Country Park and Fisheries, near Market Rasen
For something a little more secluded, Wold View is tucked away at the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Beauty– a haven for nature lovers, walkers and anglers alike.
With 26 hardstanding electric pitches, some with lakeside views, it’s a wonderfully quiet base to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors. Wildlife is everywhere - you might spot hares, deer or buzzards. If you fancy a change of scenery, Cleethorpes Beach, well known for its award-winning fish and chips and donkey rides, is only around 30 minutes away.
Tip: Lincolnshire is a significant farming region and many roads go close or in some cases through working farmland so watch out for tractors and livestock.
Oakhill Leisure, near Lincoln
Oakhill Leisure is a family-friendly campsite in a fantastic location, close to both Lincoln and Newark, yet set away in a peaceful 70 acres of countryside. There's an expansive fishing lake and plenty of woodland to explore - with pets welcome too.
The park has 20 well maintained touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes, including electric hook-up, showers, W.C. disposal, toilets, Wi-Fi and fire pit hire is available.
Take a visit to the historic market town of Newark, which offers a blend of rich history, architecture, and vibrant local culture. Taking a visit to Lincoln is a must, with charming streets, cafes and shopping, whilst exploring the Cathedral and enjoying stunning views of the city from the Lincoln Castle.
Meadowvale Park, near Boston
Meadowvale Park is a calm and friendly site just outside the market town of Boston, offering spacious pitches with electric hook-up, W.C. disposal, toilets and showers – and is just a short walk to a scenic fishing lake.
It’s ideal for a peaceful break, with surrounding woodlands perfect for walking or cycling. For a more active day out, visit the local windmills of Maud Foster Mill, which remains one of the tallest and most productive working windmills in the UK, or you can hop in the car to Skegness and enjoy a day of traditional seaside fun and stroll the pier.
