Swift reinvigorates its motorhome ranges for 2018 with the brilliant all new Bessacarr

Swift, the UKs No1 Leisure Vehicle Manufacturer has unveiled its stellar array of motorhomes for 2018 with the sensationally redesigned Bessacarr set to steal the plaudits.

For the new season, Swift has also brought its entire family of motorhomes together under one name, a name renowned for innovation, build quality and stylish design, that name is of course Swift.

There are five ranges of Swift Motorhomes for 2018 comprising: Select, the incredibly versatile van conversion range; Escape, the UK’s most popular motorhome range, that was completely redesigned last season to stunning effect; the compact Rio, combining coachbuilt luxury with the agility of a panel van; the classic Bessacarr, beautifully transformed for 2018 with even greater style and finesse, and the epitome of luxury motorhoming, Kon-tiki.

Every Swift Motorhome comes with an exclusive package on innovations: all coachbuilt motorhome will continue to be built with SMART construction, the UK’s leading modern build system; and every range including Swift Select panel vans will benefit from Swift Command, an app based vehicle management system to remotely control many of the vehicles functions; Swift Command Tracker, a pre-installed Thatcham Category 6 approved proactive tracker with option to subscribe; and Connect Direct, an exclusive online customer service account for new owners with a host of benefits including access to information 24/7 and service history reminders.

The outstanding development for 2018 is the all new Bessacarr, now designated the ‘500 series’ to reflect the simply stunning redesign of this icon of motorhoming.

There are ten models in the new line up ranging from 2 to 6 berths offering a variety of seating and sleeping options including parallel seating and fixed beds. Four layouts are new: the 574 with twin beds and rear washroom; 584 with French double bed and rear washroom; 597 has a mid-transverse washroom with either two fixed singles or a double; and 599 also with mid transverse washroom and fixed rear island bed.

The 560, 574, 584, 597 and 599 also come with a lounge option for extra living space.

A new black metallic cab is complemented by black edition graphics to create a striking look. White extruded skirts link to the full GRP rear panel, which houses Swift’s exclusive LED light clusters along with a reversing camera. Exterior specification has been boosted with new sixteen inch alloys and pull out pannier lockers, offering useful additional storage.

The attention to detail of the refined interior is impressive with the Skyview panoramic sunroof bathing the interior with light. Oyster Grey ‘Aircraft style’ curved upper locker doors with gloss ‘Aralie Sen’ inlay exude luxury. New Silverado soft furnishings with eider cream stripe and soft fabric wrapped edged furniture add refinement. Seats are now sculpted for improved comfort and there is also a full leather option.

The already well-equipped kitchen with the exclusive Dometic CU600 oven, now comes with innovative, Fenix worktops that self-repair. Most models also get a spacious, tall, slimline Dometic fridge. Introduced last year, Alde heating, provides all year round comfort, and manual drop down beds, are retained.

The ‘Lux’ pack includes the useful additions of cab air conditioning, cruise control and status 570 TV aerial.

For even greater luxury, indulge yourself with the flagship Kon-Tiki range. Distinctive and distinguished, with the exquisite Kon-Tiki luxury comes as standard. For 2018 there are 9 models, with the 625 and 635 now also available as high line versions.

Inside the Carabu soft furnishing scheme with twin needle stitching detail, gloss lockers with hessian colour inlays, chrome handles and locks, imbue elegance.

The standard specification is extensive, boosted with built in WIFI connectivity, leaving only, engine, fabric, air suspension, tow bar and roof rack options to choose.
The Swift Rio completes the Black Edition family. The popular compact now comes in 3 layouts: 320, 325 and 340. Inside compact does not mean compromise: ‘Cordone’ soft furnishings features expresso fabric to seat edges with pebble coloured SwiftShield inlay, that’s cleverly treated to resist stains. High gloss lockers add refinement.

On the 320 and 340 there is an ingenious lift up tailgate and a new pannier locker for extra exterior storage. For easier parking, reversing sensors have been added to all models, with rear view camera as an option. Specification otherwise remains unchanged for 2018.

A special value ‘Lux’ pack is also available with cab air-conditioning, cruise control and status 570 TV aerial.

Already the UK’s best-selling coach-built range, Escape was transformed last season and proved a winning formula, leading to even greater popularity.

For 2018 there is a new 6 metre model, the 604, making nine in total. Like all Escapes, the four berth, four seat belt 604 comes with stylish Nova soft furnishings and Swift airwave bedding for seating and sleeping comfort.

The 604 has a manual drop down bed overhead and like the 614, the rear washroom, comes with separate shower cubicle, Eco-camel shower head and illuminated shower tower. For 2018, interior and exterior specification remain unchanged and the special value priced comfort pack is full of desirable features including panoramic sunroof and winter pack.

Last season, Swift made their Select panel vans more affordable, lowering the cost of entry ownership allowing greater customisation with different packs.

For 2018, the Select standard specification has been significantly boosted and includes a choice of white or iron grey cab with complementary graphics, fresh and waste water tanks, Truma combi 4 dual fuel heating and travelling seats on all models except the 122.

The plush interior delivers comfort, style and practicality with a new Eider fabric scheme blending soft pebble grey upholstery with a charcoal feature strip. Aralie Sen woodgrain lockers with chrome inlay and chrome handles completes the look.

There are four models to choose from along with a Drivers packs for added comfort that includes an engine upgrade, cab air conditioning and cruise control. Add a Luxury pack and you also get 16" alloy wheels, DAB radio and Bluetooth, upgraded ‘Silver’ Techno dash kit and reversing sensors.
