Swift Group's top-of-the-range tourers have added specification to give top class luxury touring

The new Swift Conqueror, Abbey Spectrum, Sterling Elite and Ace Supreme top-of-the-range tourers get the same increase in specification as the Swift Challenger, Abbey GTS, Sterling Eccles and Ace Award ranges plus additional specification such as the Alde radiator central heating in twin axle models and a new ‘autofill’ control system for the built-in fresh water tank to give customers top class luxury touring.

Class –leading security across all ranges has been improved with the new HAL ‘Locate’ with European-wide cover, the only GPS tracking and monitoring system to have the highest level of Thatcham approval for use in the leisure industry. This is an upgrade to the previous system.

The unique system is monitored in co-operation with police forces in 40 European countries and is the only GPS system in the leisure market, using GSM technology that can pin point the product to within feet and show the location on Google Earth.

The clever device has two settings, setting one which alerts the owner when the vehicle has been moved up to 50 metres and setting two when the vehicle has been moved 50 metres or more. The vehicle’s owner, or up to four other nominated mobile numbers, receive alerts by text message when the product is being moved. Text alerts are also sent when the battery is flat and the four day back-up system has been activated, giving the owner time to recharge the battery and maintaining continuous protection.

The owner is consulted prior to recovery to agree a course of action.

In order to use the system, the owner must take out an annual 02 GSM contract with either the supplying dealer or online.

Additional security features include AL-KO Secure wheel lock (two on twin axles, one on single axle) an intruder alarm and high security exterior door lock.

Exteriors continue to set the tone for these ranges with the Elite and Conqueror offering a stylish body shell with metallic silver sidewalls. Elite and Supreme ranges have striking new graphics. All four ranges benefit from moulded, full-height rear panels, one piece, thick gauge aluminium sidewalls and new shaped windows with top down operated pleated blinds.

The Elite version of Eccles is also celebrating its 90th anniversary, and also sees an all new interior with furniture in ‘Oregon’ pine with ebony accents and complementary soft furnishings.

Twin axle models continue to offer superbly comfortable Alde Hydronic Compact 3010 programmable radiator heating system with combined water heating, while single axle layouts benefit from fast and efficient dual fuel blown-air central heating.

Layouts have been improved in the Swift Conqueror 645, Abbey Spectrum 535, Ace Supreme Globestar and Sterling Elite Explorer twin axle island bed models by separating the shower from the toilet room, which also creates an extension to the bedroom area for changing.

Nick Page, Commercial Director for Swift Group commented ‘In the face of a tougher economy we have added value to our ranges, rather than reducing specification, giving our customers genuine reasons to change to a new caravan.’
