Swift Group are excited to be launching a new innovative self contained, flexible living space called the S-Pod at the Caravan Extravaganza, The Lawns, Cottingham on the 6th of September 2014. Truly versatile the S-Pod has endless possibilities for a short stay away whether it be sited on a holiday park, hotel or event grounds for extra accommodation, or even as a luxury garden room.
Initially the S-Pod is being launched in two layouts the S-Pod 2 berth and S-Pod 5 berth. Both models are 10ft x 14ft and come with a double settee, which folds away to allow a bed to be pulled down over it, creating a comfortable double. They also contain a fully fitted washroom with a ‘quadrant’ shower enclosure, stylish round sink bowl and taps and modern dual flush w/c.
Handy features include a fold-away table and there is a dedicated TV position which is ideally placed to allow viewing from the sofa or bed. Practical French Oak vinyl flooring is hard wearing.
The S-Pod 2 Berth has a fully fitted kitchen area with units, sink and cooking facilities such as oven, grill, 4 burner gas hob and microwave.
In the S-pod 5 berth instead of a kitchen there is an L-shaped seating area with bunk over. The L-Shaped seating converts into a small bed allowing 3 small children to sleep in this area.
The exterior is finished in CanExel high density wood composite cladding in sierra brown which has a durable realistic wood grain texture enabling the S-Pod to blend in naturally with its surroundings. It has a one piece sloping roof and a fully glazed front aspect giving a contemporary feel. LED canopy downlights add a finishing touch.
There are PVC gutters and downpipes to the rear whilst the bonded exterior wall construction gives greater strength and the AL-KO chassis has a 10 year warranty for peace of mind.
The S-pod is also well insulated with Thermaglas uPVC double glazed windows, lagged underfloor pipes and 60mm bonded walls for increased thermal efficiency, all designed to ensure your S-pod experience is the most comfortable it can be. A water heater provides hot water and the bathroom contains a stylish heated towel rail.
Nick Page, Commercial Director, commented, “We developed the S-Pod for use on sites with short stay holidays in mind that could be quickly turned round by the park staff for the next customers. From the first prototype it is clear that the S-Pod has other opportunities for use in hotel or event grounds for extra accommodation, or even as a luxury garden room and presents an exciting opportunity going forward.
