Swift Group has once again been named among the leading UK companies in the influential Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table with strong a sales and profit performance in a challenging UK and International market.

The league table ranks Britain’s private mid-market growth companies with the biggest sales and has seen Swift Group rise to 71st place from 88th in 2018 and 107th back in 2016.

“We are thrilled to continue to be ranked in the Sunday Times Fast Track 250” said James Turner, Managing Director. “For the company to be constantly recognised every year for the last four is a tremendous achievement and testament to significant improvements across all aspects of the business, and the drive and determination of everyone at Swift to deliver award winning leisure vehicles”.

The Fast Track 250 ranking follows on from Swift Group being heralded as the UK Private Business of the Year in 2018, and in recent weeks winning the prestigious ‘Tourer of the Year’ (Sprite Super Quattro EB) as well as the new Swift Edge motorhome range winning Budget Motorhome (Edge 494) and Family Motorhome (Edge 486) in the Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome awards.

The Top Track 250 is sponsored by Grant Thornton and Lloyds Banking Group, and compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events firm and along with Swift included a further 26 Yorkshire based companies.

Rachel Engwell, Partner at Grant Thornton UK LLP, the title sponsor of the league table, praised the companies for their performance: “Whilst the headwinds of political and economic uncertainty have been a consistent feature of the UK economy over the past year, mid-market firms have continued to prove their resilience. They’ve demonstrated their adaptability to uncertain times and found opportunities for growth, both at home and abroad.”

Established in 1964, the East Yorkshire based Swift Group has grown to become the UK’s leading manufacture of leisure vehicles and Europe’s No1 brand employing over 1,200 people at its Cottingham HQ and Mexborough facility.
