Swift Group Dealership, Teesside Caravans have been awarded one of the industry’s highest awards, a Practical Caravan Gold Award in the magazine’s 2014 Owner Satisfaction Awards. Most impressive is the fact that the sales side of the organisation has only been open for just over two years. The recognition comes hot on the heels of the company also achieving the Caravan Talk ‘Service Centre of the Year’ for 2013 – 2014 which are both voted on by the general public.
The victors were announced at the recent National Camping and Caravan Show at Event City in Manchester.
The awards are entirely based on customer feedback with owners able to rate caravan dealerships on several areas such as customer service, communications and staff helpfulness. Teesside Caravans beat off several hundred companies to win and were the only company in the North to win a Gold Award for new caravans.
Dealership Manager Lisa Pluves said “This has given the staff such a sense of pride to know how much customers appreciate all the hard work and effort they put in. We are a tight knit team who always try to go the extra mile. These awards are hotly contested within the industry and to have all our staff acknowledged in this way is fantastic”.
To celebrate the dealership went ‘Gold’ for a day as staff wore the colour in recognition of their achievement.
The business is very much committed to training and development of staff. In addition to its highly experienced, fully qualified team they have three apprentice technicians who are currently in their first and second years of completing their City and Guilds Caravan Service Technicians Awards in addition to the Gas, Electrical, Manufacturer and Appliance specific training all the team receive.
