Customers braved the elements to help the marketing leading Swift Group start 2013 with sales on par with previous years at £2.5 million at the Caravan and Motorhome Show in Manchester.
With the full range of tourers on show, including for the first time the new twin axle layouts in the Challenger and Eccles SE ranges and the new 6 berth Sprite Major 6 TD plus tempting finance offers and the chance to buy before the prices increase on the 25th February, sales of tourers were buoyant.
On the motorhome front, two new Escape layouts were on show and it was still the more price sensitive models that performed well and contributed significantly to overall sales.
‘We were concerned that the weather would affect sales badly and although sales were down on a record last year, they were on par with 2011, which is an encouraging achievement following record sales at the NEC in October last year.
Our strategy of delivering more affordable, lightweight products and introducing new layouts in response to customer demand is still proving to be a real incentive to buy and a positive indicator for the rest of the year’ Nick Page, Commercial Director of the Swift Group commented.
The full range of both tourer and motorhome models and a good selection of holiday homes will be on show at the Spring Caravan and Camping Show 19th-24th February with a range of tempting offers.
