All new Swift Esprit and Bessacarr with stunning new looks and advanced construction

The Swift Esprit and Bessacarr Ranges have a totally new streamlined bodyshell to complement the stylish new Fiat Cab and come built with Swift Group's SMART intelligent construction system for the new season.

The 8 model line up includes 2 new models. The 6m 424 highline is a four berth layout with travelling seats and a transverse rear washroom and the 494 lowline is also a four berth with travelling seats but comes in at 7.96m and has a transverse rear fixed bed - a completely new layout to the Swift Group Motorhome range.

The new GRP low and highline over cab pods feature an opening roof window giving a much more streamlined silhouette. With an overall increased body width and reduced height the range looks more low profile.

Highline integrated models have a new lower curved roofline thanks to a new electronically operated drop down bed instead of a traditional overcab luton. The bed has 3 positions; the highest position is for storage in the roofline, a mid position where people can sleep underneath, and a low-level position for sleeping that is very easy to access.

The rear looks equally as stylish with a curved GRP rear panel with exclusive Swift LED light clusters. Darkened Seitz C8 windows like those found on the Bolero, stylish new graphics, new front marker lights and 16” wheels give the finishing touches to the dramatic new look.

Under the Skin is Swift Group's SMART Construction, which launched to much acclaim in the Group's tourer ranges in October 2013. Standing for a Strong timber-less body frame with Modern desirable looks and a leading Aerodynamic shape that is Resilient to moisture, all wrapped up in a motorhome that has undergone the most comprehensive Testing; it bares the ethos of what Swift wants to achieve for all their products going forward.

SMART is being launched across the entire Coachbuilt Motorhome range for the 2015 season.

The new timberless body frame uses PURe, a strong polyurethane material that is totally impervious to water and has been proven in use. The construction method prevents the transfer of moisture from the outside to the upgraded hardwood ply wallboard making the motorhome highly resilient to moisture. Everything is CNC (computer numerically controlled) cut to provide accuracy and consistency time after time to give a high quality engineered product. Thorough testing provides confidence for customers.

For more details on SMART Construction see the SMART press release.

The new Fiat cab has a more streamlined modern look and comes with a white colour keyed bumper and black accents. The headlights feature LED daytime running lights with a black bezel, the front grill is gloss black and the skid plate is also finished in black.

Inside new 'Captain-chair' style cab seats have an integrated headrest, wider backrest, better side support and improved seat comfort for an overall more comfortable journey.

The radio comes with Bluetooth for hands free phone connection and a mirror mounted aerial for better reception. A handy central holder takes two cups or 0.75litre bottles and has space for a smart phone, iPod or other small objects. There is also a USB port for mobile device charging and connectivity.

The instrument panel has new more modern graphics and a gearshift indicator shows you when to change gear for optimum economy.

Inside both Esprit and Bessacarr models have new, contemporary 'Aralie Sen' woodgrain. Esprit models have hessian contrasts to the gloss upper locker doors and Bessacarr models have a gloss smoked oak inlay. The furniture is all-new and benefits from safety improvements thanks to the extensive crash sled testing Swift have undertaken for many years.

Swift Esprit models have chocolate brown ribbed seating cushions with a contrasting grey weave fabric that has a silver tinge. The iridescent weave of the curtain fabric contrasts with this and the cornflower blue of the scatter cushion.

Bessacarr models have a rich dark brown woven seating fabric with a muted cream feature strip in the backrest. The cream is picked up as the background colour in the curtain and scatter cushions, which have a 'classic' brown pattern giving a 'boutique hotel' feel to the interior.

Both ranges have the option of 'Impala' stain resistant easy-clean seating fabric with a soft nubuck texture, unique to Swift Group.

Lighting throughout is LED with dimmable under locker spotlights and there is a new stepwell light for safer access. There are even low-level night-lights that operate when travelling. Swan neck cab reading lights are also fitted to all models.

Sockets are finished in chrome and kitchens feature a new style sink unit with lit splash back and a new chrome effect vector tap, Thetford Aspire Mark II oven (specifically designed for leisure vehicle use), gloss black Dometic 8 series fridge and microwave oven.

Six of the models feature a separate shower cubicle and two have a washroom where a divider keeps the toilet area dry. An addition last year, the Eco Camel shower head and hose in the washroom cleverly injects air directly into the water stream, so you use less water while experiencing a more powerful shower.

Making them truly suitable for all year round use, all models come with Truma Combi boilers (Combi 4 on 412/424 and Combi 6 on 442/454/462/484/494/496) and Winter Pack, which includes fresh and waste water tank heaters, drain insulation and fridge vent covers, fitted at standard. They easily achieve Grade 3 performance for thermal insulation.

A Truma 'Crash Sensor Mono' regulator even allows the heating system to be safely operated while travelling to keep the whole living space warm and there is also provision for solar panel connection.

Introduced last year, fixed beds benefit from the 'Duvalay Duvalite' an innovative mattress made with lightweight memory fibre technology. This mattress is exclusive as standard equipment to the Swift Group and provides excellent pressure relief and comfort.

A new lift-up bed above the garage in the 484 models creates extra garage space and makes access to the bed easier.

Bessacarr models benefit from a higher specification and come with cab mirror covers, reversing camera, awning, walnut dash trim, omnivent, vanity mirror lighting, robe lighting and map pockets/wall pads as standard.

All models are powered by the Fiat 2.3 litre, 130bhp Euro5+ turbo diesel with a 6-speed gearbox. The keenly priced Lux pack adds cab air-conditioning, cruise control and a Status 550 TV aerial.

Fiat’s automatic gearbox is available as an option with the standard 130bhp economical engine, which is a popular choice.

All models come with a 'TRACKER Retrieve' Thatcham approved (Category 7) tracking system and the reassurance of Swift Group's 10-year body integrity warranty. Many insurers insist on trackers, so it could save customers several hundred pounds for fitting one later.

Nick Page, Swift Group's Commercial Director, commented, "We believe the new Swift Esprit and Bessacarr 400 ranges have a look, specification and price that will transcend all others in their class. The combination of the completely new body shell, new Fiat cab and SMART construction provides a very compelling package for anyone looking for a new motorhome in the mid market budget sector."
