All new Escape to redefine entry-level coachbuilt sector

2017 marks the complete redesign of the Escape, Swift Group’s best-selling coachbuilt motorhome range, and the results are stunning. It boasts a new streamlined low profile bodyshell built using Swift Group’s enhanced SMART Plus construction, a fully revised interior and model line up that is set to redefine the entry-level coachbuilt sector.

The new design reflects the look of Swift’s more premium motorhome ranges; all models have a streamlined low profile with a new GRP overcab pod, white extruded skirts linking to a new full GRP rear panel with exclusive LED rear light clusters.

Swift upgraded the SMART construction system to SMART Plus in 2016 by adding a new sandwich floor construction with a GRP outer skin. SMART Plus has been further enhanced for 2017 with new balanced panel side walls having both GRP outer and inner skins to create a full GRP bodyshell. GRP is more impact resistant than aluminium, ensuring long lasting good looks to secure your investment for the future.

Models are powered by the new more environmentally friendly 2.3 litre 130bhp Euro 6 engine and new graphics and LED marker lights finish off the striking new look.

Technological innovation continues inside. Swift Command, launched last season in Swift Group's flagship ranges, brought modern technology with an 'App' interface to the leisure vehicle market. This exciting innovation is now available across Swift Group's entire Caravan and Motorhome ranges.

The Swift Command control system includes an intelligent power supply unit and a smart LCD control panel that allows viewing of enhanced control panel functions.  There is also an exciting Swift Command 'App' that can be downloaded to Smartphones and Tablets (iOS and Android) which enables the user to remotely control and/or monitor certain vehicle systems either inside the vehicle using a Bluetooth interface (BLE), or away from the vehicle (providing that there is a signal or wi-fi available). Added to the system for the new season is the option to subscribe to a Thatcham Level 6 tracker.

All 2017 models also come with access to Connect Direct, Swift’s online customer service portal. Swift is the only manufacturer to have a dedicated customer service team and the Connect Direct system is additional to existing contact points.

The key benefits of Connect Direct are: access to information 24/7; ability to report faults directly to us; product upgrades and notifications; live chat direct into our experienced retail team; upload service history records and service history reminders.

The stylish new ‘Nova’ soft furnishing scheme has graphite and warm grey seating cushions with a corded texture, complemented by graphite blind surrounds with a sky blue hexagonal pattern and two abstract pattern scatter cushions that bring in sky blue, beige and warm grey accents. It tones with the ashen brown hue of the ‘Aralie sen’ wood grain for a contemporary feel. Overhead lockers are in a contrasting grey/white.

New Swift AirWave bedding gives improved seating and sleeping comfort. Along with a sleeker silhouette to the seat cushions and provides just the right combination of support and cushioning. The unique Swift AirWave construction gives the feel and comfort of a mattress topper when the cushions are turned over and used to make up the front bed. Fixed beds feature the Duvalay Duvalite mattress, exclusive as standard equipment to the Swift Group.

There are eight models in the new line-up ranging from two - five berths, offering a range of seating and sleeping options including parallel rear seating, fixed beds (side, island and twin options) and bunks. The 614, 685 and 695 models offer a manual drop down bed instead of the traditional over luton bed now that all models are low profile. This is optional on the 674, 684 and 694.

Kitchens remain well equipped with a new L-shaped sink unit with lift up worktop extension and cutlery drawers on 674, 684, 685, 694 and 695 models. The stylish and spacious tall slim line Dometic fridge features in 614, 674, 684, 685, 694 and 695 models.

The newly designed washrooms come with a new vanity unit and sink and improved lighting. The Truma Combi boiler provides ample hot water and heating power to ensure all models maintain the Grade 3 standard for heating and thermal insulation. A Truma ‘Crash sensing Mono’ regulator allows for en route use of the heating. Also new for the year are electronic fresh and waste water tank drain valves.

All interior lighting is LED including new over-locker lighting.

The already impressive standard specification can be enhanced with the Comfort Pack which includes the additions of cruise control, reversing sensors and a panoramic sunroof. Also included is the Winter Pack (this consists of waste water tank heaters, under floor pipe insulation and fridge vent covers), a Status 570 TV aerial, cab-air-conditioning, passenger air bag, concertina door flyscreen and pleated windscreen blind, giving a very high specification. It is so keenly priced it’s always selected.

Nick Page, Swift Group’s Commercial Director, commented, “The stylish exterior, great standard specification and amazing value already meant that the Escape range was our best selling motorhome range, widely chosen by those looking for their first new motorhome. The new make-over takes this winning formula to an unbeatable level and is even a serious rival to more expensive ranges. “
